Gentle techniques for healing and optimal health.

At www.AnnaStainerOsteopath.co.uk, I'm dedicated to providing my patients with the highest quality of care. As an experienced osteopathic physician I'm committed to your health and well-being. I offer a range of services to help you achieve optimal health.
Osteopathy is a holistic approach to healthcare that emphasises the relationship between the body's structure and function. It aims to improve health and well-being by treating the whole person, not just the symptoms.
Osteopathy offers numerous benefits, including pain relief, improved mobility, and enhanced overall well-being. By focusing on the body's structure and function, our treatments can help alleviate various conditions, from chronic pain to sports injuries, allowing you to lead a healthier, more active life.

Osteopathy specialises in the diagnosis, management, treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal and other related disorders.
Due to the physical nature of the treatment, it is not unusual to sometimes feel sore or stiff in the first 24-48 hours after treatment. I will explain any likely reactions that you could expect. If you have any concerns, it is important to contact me and ask advice.
It may require more than one visit before your problem is resolved. I will review your progress at each subsequent visit and seek your consent to any changes to your treatment plan.
I believe that education is an important part of healthcare. I have compiled a list of resources to help my patients better understand their conditions and how to manage them.

The British School of Osteopathy http://www.bso.ac.uk/

I trained for 4 years at the British School of Osteopathy in central London, before going in to practice in Hampshire and West Sussex. I then set up on my own in Southsea in 1993.
Five years later I relocated the clinic to Collins Road, Southsea, where I still work alongside osteopath Jon Butterworth.
We now have an established patient base, some of whom have been with us from the beginning, and bring their children and grandchildren.
I see many different types of problems, such as sports injuries, low back pain, migraines and trapped nerves to name a few. I treat all ages, from children (the youngest was 2) through to pregnant ladies and the elderly (the oldest so far is 91).
Every patient is seen as an individual, and treatment is tailored to their specific needs. I use gentle structural techniques, taking care to ensure that the patient is happy and comfortable with the treatment.
I am a member of the Institue of Osteopathy (iO), a member of the Academy of Physical Medicine and registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) which means that I undertake continuing professional development throughout the year, to remain fully up to date with my skills and knowledge.
Outside of work, I enjoy horse riding, strength training, ballroom dancing, as well as walking my dog with my husband and three children.
Hear from my satisfied patients about their experiences at www.AnnaStainerOsteopath.co.uk. I am proud to have helped so many people on their journey to better health and well-being.
